..and something blue...

Hello again.  How long has it been?  Must blog more often!  Anyway here is my entry for this months Claritystamp challenge, with the theme "Monochrome"

First I masked off the tag in the middle, and added some shade around it using a make-up sponge.  Then it was just a case of masking off each square, and stamping all the designs into place.  I did all the stamping in Cornflower Blue archival and used Stonewashed Adirondack to shade the squares.  A Pastel Blue and Denim Blue promarker added some colour to the lovebirds;  I used the ultra-fine nibs and was careful not to smudge the lineart. I deepened the shadow, especially around the bottom left of the tag, using the Cornflower Blue and a tiny amount of Cobalt archival.  Finally I removed the mask and stamped "Wedding" from the wonderful wordchains to finish.  All that remained was to mat it simply onto some co-ordinating blue card.

Hope you like it.  I'd love to know what you think.  Till next time.  Xxx

    1. Thanks for your all your tips Maria. The "extreme masking" we did with the filligraphy petals inspired me to use the "All you need is Love" heart to create one of the backgrounds. Xxx
